CLOTHES, HAIR AND MAKE-UP ADVICE FOR A MODELING PHOTOSHOOT

When you want to build a strong, diversified modeling portfolio, you will want it to contain images that show yourself looking good in a wide variety of clothing styles, accessories and outfits.  The best clothing options to bring are timeless, classic styles and nothing too busy or distracting.  Also wear and bring clothing options that are trendy and popular at the moment. Think GAP, RALPH LAUREN, H&M, GUESS JEANS STYLES.  You should wear well fitting, clean and wrinkle-free clothes. You will want to bring simple outfits that include BOTH FORM-FITTING AND LOOSE, BAGGY, OVER-SIZED, COMFORTABLE options. Listed below are suggestions for what clothes to wear and bring for your modeling test photoshoot.

• CLASSIC COLORED CLOTHING IN THE COLORS OF BLACK, WHITE, GREY, BROWN, TAN, RED, BURGANDY, LIGHT BLUE, BRIGHT BLUE, NAVY BLUE, YELLOW, GREEN, AND HUNTER GREEN ARE THE BEST COLOR OPTIONS

• CLASSIC PATTERNS SUCH AS STRIPES, POLKA DOTS, PLAIDS AND GINGHAM ARE GREAT OPTIONS AS WELL

• NAILS- Please make sure that prior to your photoshoot session, your nails look well manicured and simple.  You will want short, nude, neutral or light pink colored nail polish on.  As for many looks during your modeling photoshoot you will have no shoes on, I highly suggest your toes are looking great too with a fresh pedicure also with a nude, neutral or light pink polish color.  

• ACCESSORIES- Please bring a variety of fashion accessories with you to your photoshoot session such as belts, hats, sunglasses, scarves, and a couple of handbags if you'd like.  

• JEWELRY- Please arrive to your shoot wearing very simple jewelry such as stud or hoop earrings, necklaces, and bracelets in gold, or silver.  Again, less is more!  Keep in mind, you should also bring with you more bold, statement  making jewelry pieces as well!
